Arab media forum for youth kicks off in Cairo

CAIRO - 10 March 2018: An Arab media forum for youth kicked off earlier Saturday under the auspices of Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit.

Seminars will be held as part of the forum, as well as workshops, with the aim to hone skills of the young generation to be up to media responsibility in the future.

The forum will focus on means to create an atmosphere that accommodates all lines of thought and faces divisions in accordance with a code of ethics that does not hinder freedom of expression.

It will also tackle the role of media in the development process.

A number of Arab information ministers and prominent media figures as well as students of mass communication are taking part in the event.
