Significant decline in temperatures in Egypt on Friday

CAIRO - 9 March 2018: The Egyptian Meteorological Authority expects significant decline in temperature grades on the Northern part of the country on Friday, and a warm weather will cover the Northern costs and Cairo, while Upper Egypt will feel a hot spell during the day, with decline in temperature during the night.

Moderate North-west winds will be active in South Sinai, Gulf of Suez and Red Sea, which may cause disorder in maritime navigation.

For the Red Sea, waves are mild to turbulent, with a wavelength of 2 to 2.5 meters. The surface winds are North-westerly.

The Mediterranean will be moderate on Friday, with wavelength of 1.5 to 2 meters and North-westerly surface winds.

Temperature grades in some governorates are (in degrees centigrade):

Cairo: 26 day, 17 night

Alexandria: 21 day, 12 night

Port Said: 21 day, 16 night

Hurghada: 30 day, 17 night

Luxor: 37 day, 17 night

Minya: 29 day, 15 night

Suez: 26 day, 14 night

Shalateen: 34 day, 20 night

Halaib: 32 day, 22 night
