Egyptian Media delegation signs cooperation protocol with 57357 hospital

CAIRO – 5 March 2018: A media delegation, headed by veteran journalist and TV host Khaled Salah, visited the Cairo-based 57357 Hospital on Monday to sign cooperation protocol. The hospital is one of the largest hospitals specialized in children's cancer in the Middle East.

The delegation includes representatives from all outlets of the Egyptian Media Incorporate (Youm7, Egypt Today Magazien, Sout al-Omma, and Dot Masr). As per the protocol, the Egyptian Media Incorporate and the hospital will cooperate in disseminating awareness amongst people, in fields of drinking water, sewage, health and information technology.

Youm7 editor-in-chief Salah has donated $5,000 to the hospital administration to support the hospital and its medical crew in their essential duties.

The delegation included a number of Youm7 executive editors and section heads including Akram al-Kasas, Adel al-Sahnhoury and Wael al-Semary. Other journalists also joined the delegation, including: Mohamed Thrwat, executive chief editor of Sawt al-Oma newspaper and Hani Refaat, editor in chief of Dot Masr website. Rouida Peppers, executive manager of POD Company for Advertising, Marketing and Public Relations were also present in the delegation.

The hospital administration, headed by Manager Shrief Abul Naga, welcomed Salah and his delegation with roses. The hospital’s children’s choir welcomed the delegation with songs and anthems.

Salah listened to detailed information about how the hospital was founded, and its transformation from a small hospital to a large specialist health facility that offers free medical care and treatment for children.

Naga told the delegation about the upcoming plans to develop the hospital in order to accommodate a larger number of patients.
