Interior Ministry says Facebook hacker arrested

CAIRO - 21 February 2018: The IT sector of the Interior Ministry has arrested a person who hacked 1,134 Facebook accounts.

The hacker used pictures, chats and information of the owners of those accounts to blackmail them.

An investigation showed that Hossam Z. M., 24, was behind the incidents.

He admitted that he had hacked the accounts to get money from their owners.

All legal measures have been taken and the prosecution has been informed to start a probe.
