Badawi, Gabr, Salama tackle restructuring national press institutions

CAIRO - 20 February 2018: Minister of Public Enterprises Khaled Badawi Tuesday received Head of the National Press Authority Karam Gabr and Head of the Syndicate of Journalists and Board Chairman of Al Ahram Institution Abdel Mohsen Salama in light of activating the role of the committee formed upon the Prime Minister's decision to follow up the restructuring of national press institutions and sanction timetables for reform.

The minister, the committee's rapporteur, was briefed on the status of national press institutions in terms of finance and debts and efforts exerted for reform and rehabilitation at all levels, a statement released by the Ministry of Public Enterprises said.

The minister reviewed a number of ideas on supporting the investment plan and accelerate its executive program. He expressed the public enterprise sector's readiness to offer full support to implementing the investment plan within the framework of restructuring national press institutions.
