Armed Forces set up 11 hotlines to receive reports on terrorists

CAIRO - 16 February 2018: Eleven hotlines were established to receive citizens' complaints and reports on terror elements and their suspected hideouts, the Armed Forces said in a statement on Friday.

The move comes within the framework of the army's and police's efforts to eliminate terrorist hotbeds and secure the country's borders, the statement added.

Hotline numbers (16037-16137-16138) were set up for reporting complaints in Cairo, Giza, Qalyubia, Gharbia, Beni Suef and Faiyum, while hotline number (16289) was established for the governorates of Ismailia, Port Said, Damietta, Daqahlia, North Sinai and Sharqia, the statement read.

Hot line number (16368) was provided for the governorates of (Alexandria, Behira and Kafr El Shiekh), the statement noted, while the governorates of Suez and South Sinai were given a hotline number (16296), the statement said.

Hotline number (16386) was set up for the governorates of Minya, Assuit, Sohag, Aswan, Luxor, New Valley and Red Sea, while a hotline number (16389) was set up for Matrouh governorate, the statement added.

With regard to infiltration and smuggle attempts, a hot line number (19039) was established for all governorates, the statement noted.

A hotline number (16039) was set up for contacting the military police and a hot line number (16239) for calling the military intelligence, according to the statement.
