ADEN - 15 February 2018: Arab Coalition fighter jets destroyed a ballistic missile launch pad near Al Hudaydah airport in western Yemen, Yemeni sources said Thursday morning.

The raid came as the site was being prepared to strike targets in Mocha, a Yemeni port city on the Red Sea coast , Sky News channel reported.

Eight Houthi militants were killed in the air strike.

In the meantime, the Yemeni army thwarted a fifth attempt in a week for Houthi militants to achieve progress on a number of positions in Baqim directorate after clashes that lasted for several hours. Ten Houthi militants were reportedly killed and an unknown number of others either escaped or were left injured.
