MUSCAT - 5 February 2018: Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi received on Monday at his residence the Omani Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers Fahd Bin Mahmud Al Said at Al Alam Palace.

Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Bassam Radi said that the Omani prime minister expressed his country's appreciation of Sisi's visit, voicing Sultan Qaboos bin Saeed's keenness on boosting cooperation with Egypt which is considered a pillar of security and stability in the Arab world.

Al Said also pointed out to the deeply-rooted ties and strong relations binding both countries, the presidential spokesman added.

President Sisi expressed his appreciation of the Omani stances towards Egypt, stressing that progress and development he witnessed during his current visit to Oman have been achieved thanks to the wise leadership of Sultan Qaboos, Radi noted.

President Sisi has reviewed measures that have been undertaken by Egypt to provide an attractive investment climate, referring to the ongoing implementation of national projects aimed to offer promising and diversified investment opportunities in various sectors, Radi expounded.

Sisi expressed keenness to foster bilateral relations in economic, trade and investment domains, aiming to achieve common interests of both countries and peoples.

For his side, the Omani prime minister lauded the Egyptian economic reforms that have been implemented over the past period of time, underlining that both countries agreed to establish a joint investment fund to contribute to promoting bilateral relations in all fields.

The meeting also touched on several regional files especially efforts meant to reach a political settlement to current conflicts in a number of countries to end the humanitarian suffering of their peoples.

President Sisi and Omani prime minister highlighted the necessity of fostering Arab solidarity to face the current unprecedented challenges.
