CAIRO – 21 April 2017: Egypt condemned in the “strongest terms possible” the shooting on Champs-Elysées in Paris on Thursday night 20 April which left a police man dead and another two injured, in a press statement released by Ministry of Foreign Affairs Friday.

Egypt renewed its call for concerted efforts to combat terrorism, and put an end to it, extending its condolences to the French people and wishing those injured a quick healing, the statement read.

With the first round of France's presidential elections looming, the French capital shuddered by another terrorist attack occurred Thursday, for which Islamic State (IS) terrorist group claimed responsibility.
