Assar to head for China to visit several international companies

CAIRO - 31 January 2018: Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Saeed Assar will head for Beijing on Thursday to visit a number of international Chinese companies, the ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

Assar had talks with Chinese Ambassador in Cairo Song Aiguo on means of promoting cooperation with Chinese companies, especially those working in the manufacture of electric cars, home appliances and solar panels, the statement said.

Assar underlined the good ties between the ministry's companies and Chinese firms, urging Chinese companies to participate in Egypt's first defense exhibition – Egypt Defense Expo (EDEX), slated for 3-5 December 2018.

The Chinese diplomat stressed his country's keenness on boosting cooperation with Egypt in various domains.
