LONDON - 28 January 2018: Fifteen people were killed in the Syrian regime forces' shelling of the besieged Eastern Ghouta in Damascus countryside, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said in a statement Sunday.
The bombardment targeted Douma, Harasta, Arbin and Al Nashabiyah cities, the SOHR said, adding that the death toll in Eastern Ghouta rose to 227 since the beginning of Syrian regime's military operations there.
The shelling came after announcement of a Russia-backed ceasefire, the statement read.
