Antiquities minister briefs PM on ministry's plans

CAIRO - 28 January 2018: Minister of Antiquities Khaled el Enany met Sunday with Prime Minister Sherif Ismail to brief him on the ministry's plans and projects.

After the meeting which was held at General Authority For Investment & Free Zones (GAFI) headquarters, Enany said that the meeting shed light on projects that are about to be inaugurated, focusing on the Grand Egyptian Museum which is one of the most important projects being carried out by the ministry.

He informed Ismail of the steps taken to restore and move Ramesses II statue to the museum's hall, which cost LE13.6 million, adding that the ministry is preparing to move a number of other statues to the museum.
