Military Production Min. signs MoU with Bombardier Transportation

CAIRO - 19 January 2018: Minister of State for Military Production, Mohammed Saeed al-Assar witnessed on Friday the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the ministry and representatives of Bombardier Transportation to cooperate in implementing a number of huge transport projects.

Al-Assar clarified that the purpose of signing this memorandum is to cooperate with Bombardier Transportation in many fields such as manufacturing vehicles and equipment, establishing a monorail line that connects Nasr City with the New Administrative Capital, constructing Cairo's sixth metro line, and manufacturing Diesel vehicles.

He stressed that the excess of production capacity of the military production companies will be used in the implementation of the state’s national and development projects.
For his part, Director of Business Development Department of Bombardier Transportation, Stephanie Brun-Brunet stated that the company supports the vision of the Egyptian government to increase local manufacturing and technology transfer to the Egyptian side, stressing that the Ministry of Military Production possesses a wide industrial, technical and technological capabilities and human cadres.

The two parties agreed to form a team to start activating mutual cooperation and set a schedule for the activities related to this cooperation.
