3 Takfiris arrested in central Sinai: Military spokesman

CAIRO - 16 January 2018: Third Field Army forces arrested three Takfiri elements while monitoring movements of security forces, according to the military spokesman.

Colonel Tamer el Refaey said on Tuesday in a statement a bomb targeting forces in central Sinai has been discovered and destroyed as part of the Armed Forces' efforts to combat terror.

Six cannabis plantations and a warehouse containing around one ton of the same plant were destroyed. Two pick-up trucks carrying cannabis were also seized, the statement added.

A bus was seized in central Sinai loaded with large quantities of welding wire and spare parts of motorbikes before reaching Takfiri elements, the statement added.
