CAIRO - 14 January 2018: Cairo criminal court adjourned Sunday the trial of 215 elements of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood group in "Helwan Brigades" case to February 27.

The defendants are accused of forming an armed group called Helwan Brigades with the aim of carrying out attacks against policemen and state and public facilities, as well as vandalizing of electricity towers and transformers.

Late Public Prosecutor Hisham Barakat had ordered in February 2015 the detention of the suspects pending investigation.

During the investigation, 51 suspects admitted joining the armed group and possessing fire arms and ammunition, as well as explosives.
