Football player injured in bus explosion in Germany

CAIRO – 11 April 2017: At least one person has been injured by an explosion that hit a bus carrying the Borussia Dortmund football team to a Champions League match, the German club said.

Player Marc Bartra has been injured and has been taken to hospital but is not seriously hurt, the BBC reported.

The team tweeted that the other players were safe and there was no danger in or around the stadium. The BBC reported that the match has been postponed.

Borussia Dortmund is currently fourth in the German Bundesliga table.
