Egyptian citizen attacked in Jordan dies: Ministry

CAIRO - 27 December 2017: Egyptian national Ali el-Sayed el-Morsi, who had been recently assaulted in Jordan, breathed his last, Ministry of Manpower said in a statement Wednesday.

Minister of Manpower Mohamed Saafan was informed about the death of el Morsi by an urgent report from the Egyptian embassy’s labor bureau in Jordan.

Saafan directed the bureau staff to facilitate the procedures of moving his corpse to Egypt and follow up his dues.

He offered his condolences to victim’s wife and sons, stressing that the bureau would follow up the investigations in Jordan.

The Jordanian security forces had arrested and interrogated all the suspects in connection with the incident and referred them to the public prosecutor.
