BREAKING: IS claims responsibility for Palm Sunday bombings

CAIRO – 9 April 2017: IS has claimed responsibility for the two attacks on churches in Egypt that targeted Palm Sunday service, which killed and injured dozens, via its affiliated news agency “Amaq”.

At least 30 people were killed and 71 injured in a bomb explosion that targeted Saint George’s Coptic Church in Tanta, north of Cairo, Egypt Today reported.

Four hours later, a suicide bomber blew himself up in front of Saint Mark's Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Alexandria.
