CAIRO – 24 December 2017: The Military Court postponed Sunday the final verdict's session against 14 members of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) to December 27. Defendants face accusations of sponsoring an armed group aim at attacking public and military institutions and targeting police and army personnel in case no. 185/2016. The lawsuit is public known as “specific cells of the Muslim Brotherhood.”

The defendants, including the outlawed MB leader Mohamed Kamal, are accused of providing aid and funds to the terrorist cell as well as safe houses, cars, and information.

The cell -convicts sponsored- was charged by the Public Prosecution of joining a militant group, receiving military training, planting bombs, and launching terror attacks against specific targets.

The convicts also face charges of joining an outlawed group, calling for breaching the constitution, impeding the work of state institutions, limiting personal and public freedoms, and terrorism.

The cell broke through the garage of Amereya Petroleum Refining Company, setting vehicles on fire, and assaulting security personnel threatening them with firearms.
