OAS says sending to send delegation to Peru amid crisis

LIMA - 20 December 2017: The Organization of American States is preparing to send a delegation to Peru at the request of President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski to observe the political situation, the regional bloc's chief Luis Almagro said on Twitter on Wednesday.

Peru's opposition-controlled Congress will vote on Thursday on whether to remove Kuczynski from office over graft allegations he denies, in what his supporters have called a "coup d'etat."
