Tayyeb: Jerusalem Arab city for over 6,000 years

CAIRO - 16 December 2017: Jerusalem has been an Arab city for over 6,000 years, Grand Imam of Al Azhar Dr Ahmed el Tayyeb said in a Saturday statement.

El Tayyeb also noted that Jewish presence in the Old City has not exceeded 415 years.

According to the statement, he added that this proves claims about a Jewish right to Jerusalem are false and they know they are falsifying history and facts.
