CAIRO - 15 December 2017: Engineering Students at Cairo University succeeded in inventing two cars with modern technological capabilities in an attempt to overcome common gas problems; they are expected to participate in Shell's Eco-marathon challenge.

The innovative cars have the capability to drive long distances using just a few liters of gasoline. The students are working on two new cars to be released during 2017. One of the cars is designed to go ruffly 500 kilometers using only one watt of electrical power and the other can can go ruffly 350 kilometers using one
liter of gasoline.

The team worked on the project with the goal of participate in Shell's Eco-marathon challenge, an annual competition sponsored by Shell, as the first African-Egyptian team to participate in the challenge.

According to Shell's website, the Eco-marathon challenges student teams around the world to design, build and drive the most energy-efficient cars.
