Explosive device found, detonated near Bir al Abd police station

CAIRO - 7 December 2017: Forces tasked with combing Arish-Qantara coastal road found on Thursday an explosive device near Bir al Abd police station, an official at the Ministry of Interior’s security media center said.

The explosive device, which included 250 kilograms of highly explosive TNT material, was detonated, the Ministry of Interior said in a statement.

The forces then cordoned off the area, the official added.
