CAIRO – 2 December 2017: Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shourky bemoaned on Saturday victims killed by a terrorist attack targeted Rawda Mosque in Sinai last week, addressing participants in the Mediterranean Dialogue Forum (MED) held in the Italian Capital Rome.

Shoukry warned that ISIS fighters fleeing Iraq and Syria head to terrorism-brimming Libya, in attempt to exploit the lawless state there, the terrorists’ influx exposes Egypt to series of militias attacks as it neighbors troubled Libya, added the Egyptian Foreign Minister.

Rawda Mosque, located in North Sinai, was attacked by 40 gunmen terrorists during a Friday Prayer. The assault killed 305 and injured more than 122 prayers.

Shoukry traveled to Rome, Italy to attend the Mediterranean Dialogue Forum on Thursday morning.

This forum was launched originally for the first time in 2015 to establish high-level discussions between the countries of the north and south of the Mediterranean on the common challenges and crises that threaten the region’s security and stability.
