Iraqi Speaker receives invitation to visit Egypt

BAGHDAD - 29 November 2017: Iraqi Parliament Speaker Salim al Jabouri on Wednesday received an invitation from Egyptian Ambassador to Cairo Alaa Moussa to visit Egypt.

The announcement was made by Jabouri, who called for Egypt to take part in the reconstruction of liberated areas in Iraq, according to a statement issued by the press office of the Iraqi Speaker.

Jabouri and Moussa discussed at a meeting the current security and political situation in Iraq and the entire region.

The two sides also reviewed joint cooperation for fighting terrorism, added the statement.

Jabouri underlined the importance of pooling together all Arab and international efforts for fighting terrorism which is threatening the security and stability of the region
