CAIRO – 26 November 2017: Qatari Minister of Defense Khalid al-Attiyah sought to participate in the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition’s forum on Sunday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, according to the Arab Live Twitter account.
Saudi Arabia replied to the Qatari request, saying that Qatar must respond to the Arab Quartet's demands to be able to attend the Arab Coalition forum:
The Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition officially commenced the opening session of the forum on Sunday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; the session was opened by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, under the title “United Against Terrorism”.
The forum is set to present a general strategy for the Islamic Military Coalition to battle terrorism in all fields; ideological, militarily, and in the media. The intention is to organize and unify all Islamic countries’ efforts in their endeavor to combat terrorism.
Top defense officials from some 40 Muslim-majority countries met for the summit, aiming at countering "terrorism.".Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has vowed during the Islamic Military Coalition’s forum to end terrorism which has mutilated the image of Islam and terrorized innocent people across the world.
The crown prince has also stated that he will no longer “allow it to continue." 40 Islamic countries affirmed that they will cooperate militarily, financially, politically, and with their intelligence services to combat terrorism.
