CAIRO – 26 November 2017: Following President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi’s adoption of the “Zero Tolerance” policy against terrorists, American-Egyptian entrepreneur at London Center for Policy Research Michael Morgan stated that “power is the only way to avenge innocent martyrs.”

During his interview with One America News Network about the recent deadliest attack at Al-Rawdah mosque in west Arish City on Friday, Morgan said that Egypt is fighting terrorism on behalf of the region and the world.

President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi has adopted a “Zero Tolerance” policy with terrorists as a measure to end their violence in congruence with the attack that happened on Friday.

He noted that states financing these heinous attacks do not only provide financial support to terrorist organizations, but also logistic and intelligence support.

Regarding Coptic Christians and Sisi’s stance toward them, Morgan remarked that Sisi does not differentiate between Egyptians. He added that Sisi is trying to improve the intellectual levels of Egyptians to combat the negative thoughts that have been planted by groups with special agendas that aim to cause rifts among the Egyptian state.

He also pointed out that the former U.S. administration was involved in a devil’s bargain with the Muslim Brotherhood (MB). Although many members in the Congress have exerted efforts to list the MB as a terrorist group, Donald Trump’s administration is hesitating.

He further explained that clearly declaring the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist group would distort Barack Obama’s administration’s reputation and would reveal the bargains between them.

Morgan confirmed that Qatar and Turkey seek to shake the internal stability not only of Egypt, but of the Middle East as well.

A Friday bomb and gun assault on Al-Rawdah mosque in North Sinai killed at least 305 people and injured 128 others.

A group of terrorists stormed the mosque in west Arish City in four off-road vehicles and opened fire on worshipers during Friday prayers after a bomb was detonated, according to eyewitnesses.

Eyewitnesses further added that terrorists set fire to nearby cars and blocked a road in Al-Rawdah Village.

As reported by state media, the death and injury toll kept rising on Friday afternoon as more details surfaced.

Security forces and medical personnel immediately moved to the scene and halted traffic on Arish-Qantara Road – which leads to the damaged mosque – to scout the area and provide medical assistance to the injured.
