CAIRO - 25 Nov. 2017: The Interior Ministry declared a state of high alert nationwide in the aftermath of the terror attack that targeted Rawda mosque in Bir Al Abed in North Sinai which left 305 dead, including 27 children, and 128 others wounded.
Security sources told MENA that security was stepped up to highest level in all governorates.
The sources added that security was beefed up in the vicinity of worshiping places, vital facilities, police stations and places of gatherings.
Security forces have been ordered to vigilant and strict against any attempt to break the law, the sources noted.
The number of mobile and fixed convoys was increased to confront any terrorist or security threat, according to the sources.
Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar directed all security leaderships to launch constant raids on terrorist and criminal hideouts as pre-emptive measures against any plots targeting the nation, the security sources added.
