Perpetrators of Al-Rawdah Mosque attack used RPGs, automatic rifles

CAIRO – 24 November 2017: The General Prosecution’s initial investigations showed that the perpetrators of Al-Rawdah Mosque attack used RPGs and automatic rifles.

On Friday, a group of 15 armed terrorists broke into Al-Rawdah Mosque in Arish City, killing at least 235 and injuring 125 others.

According to eye witnesses, the terrorists came out initially riding two all-terrain vehicles which they ditched 150 meters away from the crime scene. They detonated a bomb outside the mosque and then opened fire at panicked Friday prayers congregants.
