CAIRO – 24 November 2017: “Maonah” Association for Human Rights and Migration welcomed on Friday the Quartet’s decision to include the World Union for Muslim Scholars as a terrorist organization and called to refer the union and its sponsors to the International Criminal Court (ICC).

“Maonah” Association issued a statement in which it called the quartet countries to submit the issue of World Union for Muslim Scholars swiftly to ICC to investigate with its leaders for all their crimes in Yemen.

The association called on the world to express solidarity in the face of terrorism and its financiers and to compensate all victims of terrorism in accordance with international law.

The Arab Quartet consists of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, United Arab of Emirates and Bahrain- added two entities and 11 individuals to its terror list on Wednesday.

The Quartet issued a statement names both entities The International Islamic Coordinating Council (IICC) and the World Union for Muslim Scholars as terrorist organizations, and another 11 individuals.

Since June 5, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates have turned on Qatar with a complete air and trade boycott over allegations of its support and sponsorship of terrorism. Doha denies those allegations.

Following the Arab boycott of Doha, a list of 13-demands was handed to Doha’s government by Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Bahrain for reconciliation, which includes the closing of Al Jazeera broadcasting and the suspension of its cozy relationship with the extremist government of Iran.
