Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry - YOUM7 (Archive)
Cairo – 26 February 2017: Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry left for Washington, D.C. Sunday to prepare for President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi’s visit to the U.S. for a bilateral summit, Youm7 reported.
Over a two-day visit, Shoukry will be meeting U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, the U.S. National Security Adviser, a number of officials from Trump’s administration and the American Congress.
Shoukry’s mission will also work out the details of the schedule of Sisi’s planned visit to the U.S. in March.
In the upcoming bilateral summit, Trump and Sisi are expected to discuss a number of strategic, political, regional and security issues, as well as means to reinforce the economic and military cooperation between the two countries. The visit will also address the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
