CAIRO - 23 November 2017: Cairo University Vice-President for Graduate Studies and Research Amr Adly on Thursday received Latvian Ambassador in Cairo Iveta Sulca to discuss means of cooperation between Cairo University and Latvian universities as well as scientific institutions.

Fields of cooperation include scientific and research spheres related to engineering, renewable energy and information technology domains.

Adly welcomed joint cooperation with the Latvian universities, voicing keenness of Cairo University under its President of Cairo University Mohamed Othman al Khosht on supporting cooperation with international universities in the fields of education, distance education and joint scientific researches.

He pointed out Cairo University is among the world university rankings and offers internationally- accredited educational programs.

Cairo University welcomes students from other countries within the framework of its joint cooperation agreements and scholarship programs, Adly further said.

For her side, the Latvian ambassador expressed keenness of the higher educational institutions in Latvia to cooperate with Cairo University which is among the major universities in the Middle East.

Cooperation with Cairo University is expected to include joint scientific researches, exchange of students and academic cooperation in various sectors, she added.
