Egypt fighting terrorism on behalf of region, world -- Sisi

CAIRO – 16 November 2017: President Abdel Fatah Al-Sisi received on Thursday Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament Laszlo Kover and his accompanying delegation, now visiting Egypt.

The meeting was attended by Egyptian Parliament Speaker Ali Abdel Aal and the Hungarian ambassador in Cairo, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Reda said.

During the meeting, Sisi praised deeply-rooted relations between Egypt and Hungary and expressed Egypt's keenness on boosting cooperation with Hungary in all fields.

Egypt is fighting terrorism on behalf of the region and the whole world, Sisi said.

Kover, for his part, praised relations between the two countries in all fields, stressing his country's desire to boost cooperation with Egypt at the parliamentary level.

The visit paid by Sisi to Hungary in July contributed to promoting relations between the two countries in all fields, Kover said.

The meeting also tackled the latest developments in the Middle East region and efforts exerted to fight terrorism.
