Shoukry arrives in Oman; marking fifth leg of his Arab tour

CAIRO – 14 November 2017: Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry arrived in Oman and was received by his Omani counterpart Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah. The two held talks between the two sides on Tuesday.

Shoukry’s arrival in Oman marks the fifth leg of his Arab tour that includes six countries.

Moreover, the tour lasts for three days; Shoukry started his visit in Jordan on Sunday, after which he visited Bahrain, Kuwait and then the United Arab Emirates. Shoukry is set to travel to Saudi Arabia on Tuesday as well, where his tour will end.


During his tour, Shoukry is going to stress on the importance of preserving Arab solidarity in the face of the various challenges encountered by the Arab countries in the region, according to Abu Zeid's statements on Saturday.
