CAIRO –13 November 2017: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced on Monday that it will hold a meeting in Riyadh on November 22 to unite the Syrian opposition, according to Al Arabiya channel.

In the context of regional and international changes that recently took place, Saudi Arabia decided to hold a comprehensive conference with all Syrian opposition factions in order to set specific demands to be negotiated with the Syrian government during the upcoming meeting in Riyadh.

One of Saudi Arabia's top current interests, regarding the Syrian crisis, is uniting the different Syrian opposition groups.

However, Riyadh is excluding Syrian opposition leaders supported and funded by Qatar, as well as those obstructing the political solution.

This is considered a positive move for Saudi Arabia, as the kingdom could contribute to a comprehensive settlement of the Syrian crisis, which has completed its sixth year without the prospect of a serious solution.
