Administrative control authority in Cairo - File Photo
CAIRO - 11 November 2017: A half ton of sliver crafts and banned drugs have been seized by the administrative control authority in Cairo.
The objects had been smuggled by traders into Egypt in collusion with some customs officials at the cargo village of the Cairo airport.
Acting upon a tip-off, the authority found the seizures at a warehouse in El Nozha El Gadida district in Cairo.
The agency estimated the customs duties on the objects at 15 million EGP.
The suspects have been referred to the prosecution.
