Barzani calls on Iraqi PM to start dialogue
On Saturday, former Kurdistan President Masoud Barzani called on Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi to start a dialogue between Baghdad and Erbil to find solutions for the region, according to the Alsumaria TV network.

Barzani also said that the Iraqi government had not been able to restore Mosul without the Peshmerga, adding that the contribution of Kurdish forces in the war against the Islamic State terrorist group had helped liberate Iraq's main city. "War means destroying everything," he added.
Military plane crashes in south Iran, pilot killed
An Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) warplane crashed in Iran's southern Fars province, killing the pilot, Press TV reported Saturday.
The plane went down in Sarvestan on Saturday. Sarvestan is located 85 kilometers east of Shiraz, the capital of Fars province.

The IRGC said the plane was a Sukhu 22. It said the pilot had lost his life in the incident. It was not immediately clear what caused the accident.
The IRNA news agency quoted an informed source as saying that teams had been sent to the site for investigation.
Person killed, 8 injured in strike on Benghazi
On Saturday, a person was killed and two others were injured when a roadside bomb exploded in southern Baghdad, Iraqi police reported.
