TUNIS – 8 November 2017: The Tunisian coastguard foiled on Wednesday a bid by 12 people to illegally travel to Europe.

Two smugglers, behind the attempt, were also captured by in Monastir city, said the interior ministry in a press release.

All admitted trying to illegally reach Europe via the Mediterranean Sea.

They have been referred to the prosecution.
