SHARM EL SHIEKH – 8 November 2017: The Social Solidarity Ministry is seeking to spread the culture of voluntary work, which is not limited to charitable work, but also includes a paid work for individuals involved, Minister Ghada Wali asserted.
Speaking at a session entitled “Youth Social Responsibility and Volunteering” held on the sidelines of the World Youth Forum (WYF) on Wednesday, Wali said the voluntary work is a key component of the Ministry’s plans that include social protection and social care, besides development.
The Ministry has prepared a program to attract volunteers in various fields they care about through launching training programs and other programs, that will help qualify them and assess their performance in the voluntary work, she noted.
Such training programs for volunteers aim to develop the skills of communication and teamwork, as well as training on how to launch initiatives and take decisions, Wali added.
