DAMASCUS - 7 November 2017: One person was killed and 16 others were wounded after mortar shells fell on a number of neighborhoods in Syrian capital Damascus, which is another violation by armed groups to the de-escalation zone.
A police source told Syrian news agency that armed groups stationed in eastern Ghouta have fired mortar shells at 29 Ayar Street, al Shaghour neighborhood, and Abbaseen area in Damascus, killing one person and wounding 16 others.
The Syrian army declared on 22 July a halt to hostile activities in a number of areas, including eastern Ghouta in the countryside of Damascus, stressing that the army would strongly respond to any violation to the seize fire agreement.
