CAIRO –6 November 2017: American Actress, Helen Hunt, started her speech at World Youth Forum in Sharm El-Sheikh on Sunday that Egypt is the cradle of civilization and its mother.
“I studied Egyptian history when I was eight, so I thank life for that. Now I took keen interest in dedicating my life as mother and directing American movies,” said Hunt.
Only 6% of the directors in America are women, and she is proud to be one of these women, adding that the qualities of motherhood are calm, honesty, transparency, preparation, willingness to self reflect and listening, she added.
The American actress added noted that Alice Walker’s The Color Purple is one of her best accomplishments, which gathered women to talk and exchange experience and knowledge.
This forum presents a major opportunity for youth globally to discuss ideas to solve global issues and plan to the future of our planet, said Hunt.
Hundreds of young people from all around the world flocked to Sharm El-Sheikh, where the WYF will convene under the theme “We Need to Talk.”
The idea to hold an international youth conference in Egypt came during the third National Conference of Youth (NYC) in Ismailya. In July, Sisi announced that the WYF would be held in Sharm El-Sheikh at the fourth NYC in Alexandria.
The seven-day gathering will witness the participation of official youth representatives over 18 years of age, leaders of various youth networks, heads of state, media figures and around 250 young Egyptian expats.
