US embassy in Iraq urges citizens to avoid visiting Baghdad Mall

BAGHDAD - 3 November 2017: The US Mission in Iraq warned its citizens from visiting Baghdad Mall due to a security threat, the mission posted on its website.

“The US Mission in Iraq has received credible threat information that the Baghdad Mall may be the target of a terrorist attack. US citizens are advised to avoid going to Baghdad Mall,” the statement pointed pout.

“As a reminder, US citizens should maintain a heightened sense of security awareness and take appropriate measures to enhance their personal security at all times when living and working in Iraq,” it added.
