Egypt – 2 November 2017: Director of Ports Security Authority at the Ministry of Interior, Sameh Outta, checked on Thursday security procedures at Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport in preparation for the World Youth Forum.
He stressed implementing insurance procedures accurately under the challenges facing the country.
The Ministry of Interior also prepared all services and security amenities to be available upon the directions of Interior Minister Magdy Abdel-Ghaffar.
The WYF is held from November 4 to 10 under the auspices of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi and will take place in Sharm El-Sheikh. Famed Egyptian actor Ahmed Helmy and prominent Tunisian star Hend Sabry are expected to participate in the forum.
The forum will bring together 3,000 young people, represented by 60 delegations from across the world, in an effort to explore key issues facing young people and determine their role in implementing global development goals and combating terrorism.
The idea of holding an international youth conference in Egypt came during the third National Conference of Youth (NYC) in Ismailya. In July, Sisi announced organizing the WYF in Sharm El-Sheikh at the fourth National Youth Conference in Alexandria.
The seven-day gathering will witness the participation of official youth representatives over 18 years old, leaders of various youth networks, head of states, media figures and around 250 young Egyptian expats. It will be held under the theme "We Need to Talk."
The WYF sends a message of peace, prosperity, harmony and love to the entire world.
The WYF program is comprised of four themes, namely, global youth issues, youths’ role in confronting these issues, climate change, as well as illegal migration and refugees.
The global youth issues theme will include a discussion on terrorism, while the second theme will focus on sustainable development, technology and entrepreneurship.
