CAIRO – 30 October 2017: The Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs (ECFA) urged Britain to correct the imbalance caused by Balfour Declaration and its catastrophic repercussions on the Palestinians and the Middle East region.
It stressed the importance of the two-state solutions according to the Arab Summit held in Beirut in 2002 and the withdrawal of Israel from all the territories it occupied since 5 June, 1967 including the West Bank of Jordan River and occupied Syrian Golan.
It also affirmed the need to stop building settlements in the occupied territories so as to reach a comprehensive peaceful settlement based on international legitimacy resolutions.
These remarks came in a statement issued by the ECFA Monday on the occasion of issuing Balfour Declaration.
