7 recommendations to activate internal control in Egyptian authorities

CAIRO – 30 October 2017: Egyptian Administrative Prosecution Authority presented its annual report on Sunday headed by Counselor Faryal Qutb included recommendations to improve the performance of civil servants and eliminate their mistakes.

The report included seven recommendations to activate internal control inside government authorities, prepared by Counselor Ahmed Khalel, a member of the technical office, as follows:

1. Support internal control systems and raise their efficiency and effectiveness.

2. Emphasize the supervisory functions to perform their role in the supervision and follow up on their subordinates.

3. Necessitate the supervisory function to submit a monthly report to the competent authority on the performance of subordinates and evaluate the performance of each one.

4. Hold accountable the supervisor responsible for negligence in following up with his subordinates.

5. Link payment of extraordinary efforts and incentives to the employee to the extent of their performance of the work.

6. Contact the public service professionals permanently to the recipients of the service from the citizens, through a poll on the online site or through the complaints box.

7. Circulate the system of electronic attendance.
