Spanish government dismisses police chief in Catalonia
On Saturday morning, the Spanish government dismissed the police chief in Catalonia, following the announcement of independence from Spain, in a move rejected by the international community, Sky News reported in a news release.

On Friday, Catalonian parliamentarians declared the independence of the province to become an "independent state in the form of a republic," in the presence of separatist President Carles Pegdemont and the absence of the opposition, which left the session.
Immediately after the announcement of the historical story for Catalan, tens of thousands of supporters of the secession left Barcelona to celebrate the chanting of the Catalan anthem.

Fires continued for the third day in Kenya after the presidential election

The death toll of a bus in the Nepal River has risen to 31

A court on Friday sentenced 25 people, including a former Coast Guard commander, to life in prison for trying to overthrow the government in last year's military action, Turkish media reported.

Myanmar government hinders access of aid to Rohingya
World Food Program (WFP) spokeswoman Bettina Lousher has been accused of procrastinating in allowing aid to Rohingya and said in Geneva that Burma had agreed to allow the United Nations to distribute food aid to Rohingya in the northern Arakan state, which has been stalled for nearly two months.
