Spain's Rajoy sacks Catalan government, calls snap election

Spain on Friday sacked Catalonia’s regional government, dissolved the Catalan parliament and called a snap election in the region for Dec. 21, in a bid to draw a line under Spain’s worst political crisis in 40 years.

Myanmar detains reporters on assignment for Turkish state TV

Myanmar police detained two journalists working for Turkey’s state broadcaster TRT and their interpreter and driver on Friday for flying a drone near the parliament compound, amid tension between the two countries over the Rohingya crisis.

Facebook, Twitter, Google executives to testify at U.S. Senate Russia hearing
