Spanish PM sacks Catalan gov't after independence vote

MADRID - 27 October 2017: Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy sacked the government of Catalonia on Friday, following the regions declaration of independence from Spain, Russia Today reported.

Rajoy also dissolved the Catalan parliament and called for a new regional election on December 21.
