Sisi discusses relations with French Senate President

CAIRO – 25 October 2017: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi met on Wednesday with President of the French Senate Gerard Larcher.

Sisi was welcomed by Larcher upon his arrival at the headquarters of the parliament.

They discussed means to promote relations between Cairo and Paris especially in the parliamentary field.

The talks also tackled the developments in the Middle East and the Egyptian government's efforts to implement an economic, legislative, and administrative reform program.

Sisi earlier visited the headquarters of the French Parliament National Assembly, where he was hosted by President of the Assembly François de Rugy.

The meeting discussed the latest political and economical updates, the main axes of the economic reform program, and the national projects that are being implemented in various fields.

During the meeting, Sisi pointed out the continuous growth in the relations
between the two countries, stressing on the importance of enhancing the
cooperation between the Egyptian Parliament and the French National Assembly,
which includes an increase in exchanging visits between both of them.
