Islamic Sharia is in force in Egypt, doubters seek to spread chaos

CAIRO – 24 October 2017: Islamic Sharia law is enforced in Egypt and claims that it is not effective are aimed at making people skeptical about the legal system in their country and thus respond to calls for spreading sedition, Egypt’s Mufti Shawki Allam said on Tuesday.

"Such claims are among the reasons that push the extremists to commit their heinous crimes," the mufti said in a seminar organized by the Faculty of Da’wa (Islamic call).

"Egypt, its Armed Forces and Al Azhar will always remain and will not break," he stressed.
